Surgery across Spain

You do not have to move to Barcelona

The clinic is in Barcelona, but Dr. Liuzza also operates in authorised medical centres in Madrid, Bilbao, the Canary Islands, Zaragoza, Galicia and Murcia. You choose where it suits you to have surgery; the surgeon is always the same.

How it works

Three steps, wherever you live

1 · Assessment

Free first medical consultation, in person in Barcelona or by video call from wherever you are. Your case is assessed and you receive a concrete surgical plan.

2 · Surgery

The procedure takes place in an authorised medical centre in the city that suits you best, with Dr. Liuzza operating and her own anaesthesiology team.

3 · Follow-up

Check-ups combine in-person visits and video calls depending on where you live. Aftercare is never delegated.

The difference

What does not change, wherever you are

The same surgeon

Dr. Liuzza assesses you, operates on you and follows you up. There is no rotating team and no different surgeon on the day.

The same judgement

The surgical plan agreed in consultation is the one carried out. If something is not advisable in your case, you will be told.

The same aftercare

Follow-up is part of the treatment, not an extra. It is arranged around where you live.

Common questions

Questions about having surgery outside Barcelona

Do I have to travel to Barcelona for surgery?
Not necessarily. Dr. Liuzza also operates in authorised medical centres in Madrid, Bilbao, the Canary Islands, Zaragoza, Galicia and Murcia. During the consultation you will agree which option fits you best, both logistically and for your procedure.
Can the first consultation be a video call?
Yes. The first medical assessment is free and can be in person in Barcelona or by video call. Some procedures also require a physical examination before surgery; you will be told during the consultation.
Who exactly will operate on me?
Dr. Claudia Liuzza, registered with COMB under no. 49822. She is the same surgeon who assesses you in consultation and who handles your follow-up.
How does follow-up work if I live far away?
It combines in-person check-ups and video calls, depending on the procedure and your location. The schedule is agreed before surgery so you know in advance how many trips are involved.
Are the centres where you operate authorised?
Yes. Procedures always take place in medical centres authorised by the competent health authority of each autonomous region, with an anaesthesiology team.
Does the price change depending on the city?
The quote is confirmed in writing before surgery and states what it includes. If a specific centre involves particular costs, that is reflected in the quote: there are no surprise charges afterwards.
Do you see patients from the Barcelona metropolitan area (Terrassa, Sabadell, Sant Cugat, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Igualada, Gavà)?
Yes. If you live in the Vallès, Baix Llobregat, Maresme, Garraf or Anoia areas, the first consultation can take place at the clinic on Avinguda Diagonal or by video call, and surgery and follow-up visits are scheduled in Barcelona at times that spare you unnecessary journeys.
