What does the procedure involve?
Submental liposuction reduces the fat located beneath the chin to improve the transition between the face and neck. It can be performed on its own or integrated into a broader neck-rejuvenation plan.
When do we recommend it?
- Accumulation of submental fat.
- Loss of the jaw-to-neck angle.
- A less defined profile despite a stable weight.
- Cases with good skin elasticity, or those that can be combined with other techniques.
Not every double chin is just fat
A double chin may have a fatty, skin or muscular component. Correct planning starts with knowing which one predominates.
Recovery overview
Local compression
A chin strap or support system is worn as directed.
Expected swelling
