What does the procedure involve?
Blepharoplasty corrects excess skin on the upper eyelids and/or bags under the lower eyelids to rejuvenate the eye area. The goal is to open up the eyes without changing your facial identity.
When do we recommend it?
- Heavy or drooping upper eyelid.
- Persistent under-eye bags.
- Tired-looking eyes despite adequate rest.
- Excess skin that can even interfere with make-up or the visual field.
Rejuvenate without erasing your expression
A well-performed blepharoplasty is not meant to change your face, but to remove heaviness and restore freshness to your eyes.
Types of blepharoplasty
The indication changes depending on the cause of the tired look. During the consultation we assess skin, fat, eyelid tone, brow position and periocular skin quality to avoid excessive surgery.
- Upper blepharoplasty: removes excess skin from the upper eyelid and opens up the natural crease.
- Lower blepharoplasty: treats bags and laxity of the lower eyelid with an external or transconjunctival approach depending on the case.
- Full blepharoplasty: combines upper and lower eyelids when both contribute to the tired appearance.
- Combined blepharoplasty: can be paired with a facelift, neck lift or skin-quality treatments if the cause is not only in the eyelid.
Blepharoplasty price in Barcelona
The price depends on whether only the upper eyelid, the lower eyelid or a full blepharoplasty is treated, as well as the type of anaesthesia, operating theatre and follow-up required. For medical safety reasons, no fixed quote is given without examining the eyelids and reviewing your medical history. The first assessment with Dr. Claudia Liuzza is free and allows us to define the technique, expected recovery and financing if you need it.
